London City Lionesses full-back Heuchan signs new deal

London City Lionesses full-back Lois Heuchan has signed a new contract with the club after recovering from a recent illness.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this afternoon.

Heuchan joined London City Lionesses last summer after leaving neighbours Charlton Athletic. She went on to make 14 appearances for the club in the Barclays Women’s Championship. The player has been a solid performer in the second tier in recent seasons and London City Lionesses will be pleased to retain her services for another year.

After signing on again with The Pride, Heuchan said “It’s definitely good to be back with the girls, there are lots of new faces but it has been really refreshing and there is a really positive feeling around the camp.

“Carolina [Morace] and Nicola [Williams] are very tactical and hugely impressive. I’ve only been in for a couple of days and I’ve already learned so much.

“The girls have done brilliantly to get four points from the first two games and I’m looking forward to being back in the squad once I’m ready to play.”

Heuchan will now look to rebuild her fitness ahead of a return to first team action.
