Leicester City sign Canadian international forward Rose

Leicester City have completed the signing of Canadian international forward Deanne Rose on a free transfer.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.

Rose has signed a two-year contract at The King Power Stadium after leaving former club Reading earlier this summer.

The forward spent two seasons with Reading. She made 24 appearances for The Royals in the Barclays Women’s Super League while she scored four goals. Rose missed most of last season with a long-term injury.

On the international stage, Rose has 75 senior caps to her name for Canada and has scored 10 goals. She represented her country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.

After completing her move to Leicester City, Rose said “This league is the best in the world and I’m excited to be a part of it. This is a historic Club, and the team is growing and building for the future.

“At this point of my career, it’s important to be somewhere where we can build upwards. I want to get better as a player and as a person, and this is the place to do that. I want to get on the scoreboard as much as possible and have an impact for the team.”

Rose becomes Leicester City’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
