Ticket sales for Arsenal’s WSL opener against Liverpool reach 45,000

Ticket sales for Arsenal’s opening Barclays Women’s Super League fixture of the season against Liverpool have now reached 45,000.

The club provided the latest ticket update just a short time ago. The Gunners are set to face Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday 1 October 2023.

Tickets for the match have been on sale for several weeks and the 45,000 milestone has now been hit. Arsenal are closing in on their all-time ticket sales record for a Barclays Women’s Super League fixture of 53,737 while a new attendance record could be set should more than 47,367 fans attend the upcoming fixture against Liverpool. Arsenal’s current ticket sales and attendance records were recorded for last season’s home derby against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Arsenal’s fixture against Liverpool is one of five Barclays Women’s Super League matches that will be played at the Emirates Stadium this season. The Gunners will also face Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in N7. After recording a number of huge crowds at the Emirates Stadium last season, Arsenal have been rewarded with the opportunity to play more league fixtures at the venue this year than ever before.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Liverpool is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday 1 October 2023. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
