Birmingham City midfielder Cho signs new one-year deal

Birmingham City midfielder Cho So-hyun has signed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this morning.

Cho joined Birmingham City on a free transfer last summer after leaving former club Tottenham Hotspur. The player signed an initial one-year deal with the Blues but Birmingham City held the option to extend the arrangement by a further year. The club have now opted to make Cho a feature of their 2024/2025 squad.

The South Korean international has made six appearances for Birmingham City in all competitions so far this season. While her game time has been limited, she has brought a wealth of experience to the squad.

After signing her new deal, Cho said “I am really happy to sign with Blues and then I can see our ambitions in the future. That is why I want to stay here.

“When I joined this team, I already enjoyed it with the girls. During the game, I am really happy to play with the girls.”

Cho will next hope to make an impact for Birmingham City when the club travel to the VBS Community Stadium to face Crystal Palace on Sunday.
