Head coach Allen leaves London City Lionesses at the end of her short-term deal

London City Lionesses head coach Remi Allen has left her position at the end of her short-term deal at Princes Park.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from The Pride this evening.

Allen was appointed London City Lionesses head coach back in March after leaving former club Birmingham City by mutual consent. The former midfielder guided the Dartford-based club to Barclays Women’s Championship safety with a couple of games to spare. London City Lionesses played six matches with Allen in charge, winning four of them.

After her London City Lionesses departure was announced, director Ronald Thompson said “Remi came during a difficult period and achieved exceptional results, driving standards amongst the players and staff to take us to a position at the end of the season where we were more comfortable than many people may have expected.

“Remi inspired the team to deliver the performances they did during the final weeks of the campaign with her diligence, attention to detail and the fact that the players bought into her ideas is testament to the work she did.

“I would like to wish Remi the very best going forward on behalf of everyone at London City Lionesses, she will be a success wherever she goes next.”

Allen will not be short of job offers given the bright start that she has made to her coaching career.
