Arsenal will face SWPL 1 club Rangers in the Round 1 semi-finals of the 2024/2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The Round 1 draw took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this lunchtime and was streamed live via the association’s official media channels.
As the third-placed team in last season’s Barclays Women’s Super League, Arsenal will enter the 2024/2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League in Round 1. The round will again be played in a mini-tournament format with The Gunners having to play a one-off semi-final tie before taking on the winners of the other tie in the final. The overall Round 1 winners will then go into Round 2 which will see knockout ties staged for the right to qualify for the Group Stage.
Arsenal will face Scottish club Rangers in their Round 1 semi-final tie. Should The Gunners progress, they will take on either Spanish club Atlético Madrid or Norwegian side Rosenborg BK in the Round 1 final.
The Round 1 semi-final ties will be staged on 4 September 2024 while the final and third-place play-off will take place on 7 September 2024. Kick-off times for Arsenal’s Round 1 ties will be agreed in due course. It has been confirmed that The Gunners will play host to all fixtures within their four-team group at Meadow Park.
As 2023/2024 Barclays Women’s Super League runners-up, Manchester City will enter this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League in Round 2 while Chelsea will go straight into the Group Stage as they have done in previous years.
