Durham have confirmed the news that 16 members of their 2023/2024 squad will remain with the club for the upcoming season.
The Wildcats announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.
It has been confirmed that Tatiana Saunders, Grace Ayre, Lauren Briggs, Olivia Bramley, Sarah Wilson, Sarah Robson, Beth Hepple, Mollie Lambert, Lily Crosthwaite, Anna King, Becky Salicki, Dee Bradley, Ella Wilson, Erin Nicholson, Eleanor Ryan-Doyle and Abby Holmes are all now contracted with the club for 2024/2025. In addition, Durham have recently announced the news that attackers Abbi Grant, Hannah Blake and Carly Johns have all arrived at Maiden Castle.
Durham have now also revealed that Naoisha McAloon, Ellie Christon and Saoirse Noonan are all moving on this summer. Forward Amy Andrews has already secured a move to Durham’s neighbours Newcastle United.
The 2023/2024 campaign was challenging for Durham. The club struggled to grind out wins on a regular basis, particularly after the winter break. The Wildcats eventually ended the campaign in ninth position in the Barclays Women’s Championship table. Durham are determined to keep progressing in the elite game and they will go into the new season with lots of renewed hope. The club’s summer recruitment has been impressive so far and it looks as though Durham could move forward once again this term.
