Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Barbora Votíková has joined Czech club SK Slavia Prague on a permanent deal.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this morning.
Votíková joined Spurs last summer off the back of a two-year spell with French giants Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old Czechia international went on to make six appearances for Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
In her short time in North London, Votíková helped Spurs to record a sixth-place finish in last season’s Barclays Women’s Super League while she was a member of the team that reached the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final for the very first time.
Votíková will be remembered most for the role that she played in Spurs’ first-ever Barclays Women’s Super League victory over neighbours Arsenal back in December. The keeper put in a truly heroic performance as Spurs recorded a 1-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Before moving to England, Votíková had endured a difficult end to her spell with former club Paris Saint-Germain due to injury and individual errors. She will now join Slavia Prague for a second spell having rebuilt both her confidence and reputation in her time with Spurs.
