Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Swedish international midfielder My Cato.
The Eagles announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 22-year-old joins Crystal Palace following a spell with Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club IFK Norrköping.
Cato has spent the last four seasons with IFK Norrköping. She helped the club win promotion from the Elitettan in 2022 before going on to play an important role in the top tier. Cato has clocked up 40 appearances in the OBOS Damallsvenskan in which she has scored seven goals.
On the international stage, Cato recently forced her way into the Sweden squad. She is awaiting her senior debut for her country.
After joining Crystal Palace, Cato said “I’m so happy to be here – I can’t wait to join Crystal Palace.
“I’m super-excited. The Women’s Super League is a really good league with a lot of good players, so I can’t wait to get started.”
Cato is Crystal Palace’s tenth signing of the summer transfer window. It has been a busy weekend for The Eagles with four of their new signings being announced. The club could make further additions before the new Barclays Women’s Super League season kicks-off later this month.
