England will kick-off their UEFA Women’s EURO trophy defence with a group stage fixture against France.
The UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 group stage draw was conducted by UEFA in Lausanne, Switzerland this evening with the 16 participating nations being split into four groups of four. England were placed in Pot 2 for the draw alongside Italy, Iceland and Denmark.
The draw determined that England will face France, Wales and The Netherlands in the Group D. The Lionesses will kick-off the tournament with a challenging fixture against the French on 5 July 2025.
Elsewhere in the draw, host nation Switzerland will contest a competitive Group A alongside Norway, Iceland and Finland while world champions Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy make up Group B. Group C contains Germany, Poland, Denmark and Sweden.
