Nottingham Forest sign experienced midfielder Rodgers

Nottingham Forest have completed the impressive signing of experienced midfielder Amy Rodgers.

The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.

Rodgers joins Nottingham Forest on a free transfer after leaving former club Bristol City earlier this week.

The midfielder started her senior career with Liverpool and she has since turned out for London City Lionesses and Bristol City.

On the international stage, Rodgers has represented Soctland on 11 occasions after making her debut for The Tartan Army in 2023.

After adding Rodgers to her squad, Nottingham Forest head coach Carly Davies said “Amy joins the Club with a wealth of experience, having previously played in the Women’s Super League and internationally with Scotland.

“She is a composed and technically gifted central midfielder and has a proven pedigree at this level. She is a fantastic addition to the squad; her vision, work rate and leadership qualities will be a huge asset to us both on and off the pitch.

“We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Club.”

Rodgers is Nottingham Forest’s first signing since the club were promoted to Barclays WSL2 at the end of last season. There will be several more new faces at The City Ground before the 2025/2026 campaign kicks-off.
