London City Lionesses sign Spanish international keeper Lete

London City Lionesses have completed the signing of Spanish international goalkeeper Elene Lete.

The Pride announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

It has been reported that the player has signed a two-year deal at Hayes Lane.

The 23-year-old joins London City Lionesses off the back of a seven-year spell with Spanish finetwork Liga F club Real Sociedad. Lete successfully worked her way through the club’s B team environment into the first team. Lete was part of the group that won the Copa de la Reina in 2019 while she has gone on to become an important starting player for the team in finetwork Liga F in recent seasons.

On the international stage, Lete has one senior cap for Spain which she collected back in 2023.

After bringing Lete to London City Lionesses, head coach Jocelyn PrĂȘcheur said “Elene has a lot of experience already. She is a great goalkeeper and will bring us her knowledge of the higher level. She is a very good example to follow for all of our young goalkeepers in the club and we are very lucky to have her on board.”

Lete is London City Lionesses’ sixth signing of the summer transfer window.
