London City Lionesses sign Spanish youth international midfielder Partido

London City Lionesses have completed the signing of Spanish youth international midfielder Paula Partido.

The Pride announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

The 20-year-old joins London City Lionesses from Spanish finetwork Liga F club Real Madrid. She has signed an initial three-year deal at Hayes Lane. The player primarily operates as an attacking midfielder but she can also play out wide.

Partido was one of the players that transferred from CD Tacón to Real Madrid in 2019. The youngster has largely featured for the Real Madrid B team, although she has also had some first team minutes.

In the 2023/2024 season, Partido enjoyed a loan spell at Celtic. She won the SWPL 1 title with the Glasgow side, making 30 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals.

On the international stage, Partido has represented Spain up to and including Under-20 level. She was a FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup winner with her country back in 2022.

After joining London City Lionesses, Partido said “When this opportunity came, I thought it’s a big club and is a great future project. I had no doubts about it.”

Partido is London City Lionesses’ 11th signing of the summer transfer window.
