Spurs sign Hammarby forward Tandberg

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Hammarby IF forward Cathinka Tandberg on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this evening.

The 21-year-old joins Spurs after spending one season with Hammarby IF. Tandberg has also turned out for Stabæk 2, Lyn and Linköping in her senior career to date. Tandberg is a former OBOS Damallsvenskan Golden Boot winner. She netted 19 goals for Linköping in 2023.

Tandberg joins Spurs off the back of netting a double in Hammarby’s 5-4 UEFA Women’s Champions League second qualifying round semi-final victory over Metalist 1925 Kharkiv in Stockholm last week. The Swedes were defeated 1-0 by Manchester United in the second qualifying round final.

On the international stage, Tandberg is a senior international for Norway. She has five caps to her name so far.

After joining Spurs, Tandberg said “I’m very happy to be here. It’s such a big club. Martin [Ho] coming here, his playing style fits me very well, and hopefully I can score a lot of goals here.

“I want to score goals, but I’m a very physical player, always fighting for the team and fighting for the Club.”

Tandberg is Tottenham Hotspur’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
