Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Drew Spence has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.
The 33-year-old joined Spurs in summer 2022 after leaving former club Chelsea. The five-time Barclays Women’s Super League title-winner has provided a wealth of experience for Spurs while she has so often brought her own midfield masterclass to the team. Spence has made 75 appearances for Spurs in all competitions to date in which she has scored 10 goals.
The midfielder still has so much to offer Spurs and the club have therefore moved to secure her services for the long-term.
After signing on again with Spurs, Spence said “I’m really happy. I feel so comfortable here at the Club and I can see where it’s progressing to. I can see that progression and it shows in our results so far.
“It feels like a family. The feeling amongst the girls is great and we’re learning every day. It’s been a massive six months for us, and we have to keep taking these steps.”
Spence is likely to next feature for Spurs when they travel to Leigh Sports Village to face Manchester United on Sunday.
