Leicester City forward Hlín Eiríksdóttir has joined Italian Serie A Women Athora club ACF Fiorentina on loan for the remainder of the season.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.
The 25-year-old Icelandic international joined Leicester City from Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan side Kristianstads DFF a year ago. Eiríksdóttir has gone on to make 20 appearances for Leicester City in all competitions. She helped the club to record their highest-ever top flight points tally in 2024/2025.
The forward has been in and out of the Leicester City side this season and she will now spend a period out on loan with Fiorentina. Eiríksdóttir joins a Fiorentina side that currently occupy fifth place in the Serie A Women Athora league table. She will hope to provide further goals for the division’s fourth-highest scorers.
Eiríksdóttir started out in her native Iceland with Valur before moving to Sweden where she joined Piteå IF. The player’s transfer to Kristianstads DFF followed before Eiríksdóttir signed for latest club Leicester City. Her move to Fiorentina will see her test herself in Italy for the very first time.
It is not known what the future holds for Eiríksdóttir beyond her loan move, however, she is contracted to Leicester City until summer 2027.
