Manchester City full-back Codie Thomas has joined SWPL1 club Glasgow City on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Original Trailblazers announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 19-year-old is one of Manchester City’s brightest young players and she will hopefully now have the benefit of regular first team football at Glasgow City.
Thomas came through the Manchester City academy system and she was handed her first team debut by former head coach Gareth Taylor last season. The youngster has continued to develop in and around The Cityzens’ senior squad.
The defender signed her first professional contract with Manchester City in December 2024 and the club have since extended the arrangement until summer 2027.
Thomas could go on to star at the very top and she will hope to now make an impact for loan club Glasgow City.
After joining Glasgow City on loan, Thomas said “I’m really excited to be here, go out there, get some minutes, and show everyone what I am about.
“The game in Scotland is really interesting, and every match is going to be tough. It’s a really good league to come into and to play in.”
Thomas could make her Glasgow City debut when the club face Celtic in SWPL1 on Sunday.
