Sunderland midfielder Fenton signs new two-year deal

Sunderland midfielder Natasha Fenton has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The Lady Black Cats announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 27-year-old joined Sunderland from former Barclays WSL2 club Blackburn Rovers in summer 2023. Fenton has established herself as an important player for the Wearsiders. She has made 78 appearances for the club in all competitions in which she has scored four goals. Fenton helped Sunderland to challenge strongly for promotion in 2023/2024.

There is more to come from Fenton at Sunderland and the club have moved to agree extended terms with the player.

After signing on again with The Lady Black Cats, Fenton said “I’m delighted to sign a new two-year deal at the club. There has been some exciting news recently with the takeover, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the journey.

“I’m hoping it will allow me to continue developing as a player and individual. I’m looking forward to getting back, working hard and bringing the best version of myself to every match.

“I’ve loved my time at the club so far, and I’m hoping we can create many more happy memories together.”
