Ipswich Town sign Hearts midfielder Slattery

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Hearts midfielder Jenna Slattery on a permanent deal.

The Tractor Girls announced news of the transfer via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 20-year-old midfielder arrives at Portman Road fresh from lifting the SWPL 1 title with Hearts last season. Slattery has spent the last 18 months with The Jambos after joining the club from Galway United in the January 2025 transfer window. Slattery is a creative midfield player with a keen eye for the opposition goal.

On the international stage, Slattery has represented the Republic of Ireland at various youth levels and she will be hoping to push for senior honours in the coming years.

After joining Ipswich Town, Slattery said “I’m over the moon to sign for Ipswich.

“I like to be a creative player and hope that I can add something different to the team we have here.

“The ambitions this club has are top and I really can’t wait to be a part of that journey.”

Slattery is Ipswich Town’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window. The Tractor Girls are expected to be very busy in the transfer window with the club looking to build on last season’s solid foundations in Barclays WSL2.
