Nottingham Forest sign London City Lionesses defender Brown

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of London City Lionesses defender Cerys Brown on a two-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Tricky Trees this evening.

The 21-year-old re-joins Nottingham Forest off the back of a loan spell in the second half of last season. Brown made nine appearances as she helped the club to record a solid end to their first season in Barclays WSL2.

Brown is a product of the Chelsea youth system. She joined London City Lionesses on loan ahead of the 2024/2025 season and signed permanently with the club in February 2025. She won the Barclays WSL2 title with The Pride at the end of that season.

After re-joining Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis, Brown said “I’m so happy to be here. Coming to Forest on loan was a great experience but it’s really exciting to be able to properly settle into the team.

“Putting on a Forest shirt to play for the Club is a completely different feeling and to walk out at The City Ground in front of the supporters is really special, so I am buzzing to experience that again.”

Brown is Nottingham Forest’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
