Arsenal sign teenage keeper Damm

Arsenal have completed the signing of teenage goalkeeper Isabella Damm on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.

The 18-year-old stopper joins Arsenal from Danish A-Liga club Brøndby IF. Damm joined the Brøndby academy in 2001 and she has already enjoyed limited minutes in the first team. The youngster is being tipped for a bright future in the game both domestically and at international level.

On the international stage, Damm has represented Denmark at various youth levels up to and including Under-19 level.

Damm had a trial with Arsenal last season and head coach Renée Slegers was impressed enough to offer the player a permanent deal at the Emirates Stadium.

After joining Arsenal, Damm said “I’m so proud to be joining Arsenal and I can’t wait to get started. Arsenal is a great club and I’m excited to develop as a player and as a person here, and help the club achieve more success. I’ve had the experience of training here before and I know the environment here is the right one for me to progress.”

Damm is Arsenal’s sixth signing of what is proving to be a busy summer transfer window.
