Leicester City begin life under the management of new boss Willie Kirk with a tough Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Arsenal at The King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The Foxes axed former boss Lydia Bedford on Thursday following a poor start to the season. The East Midlands club immediately moved their Director of Football – Women’s and Girls, Kirk, into the first team management role on a permanent basis.
Leicester City go into their latest match without long term absentees Lachante Paul, Jess Sigsworth and Hannah Cain. Arsenal travel to the East Midlands without the services of defensive pair Leah Williamson and Rafaelle Souza who continue to recover from troublesome injuries. Midfielder Kim Little has an injury and will not be available for selection while attacker Vivianne Miedema has been given time off to rest following a hectic run of fixtures.
