Nigerian forward Adebowale-Arimoro joins Sheffield United

Sheffield United have completed the signing of Nigerian youth international forward Juliet Adebowale-Arimoro ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Championship season.

The Blades announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Adebowale-Arimoro joins The Blades off the back of a brief spell with FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club London Bees. The player spent her youth in the academy system at Barclays Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion while she has played some senior football during a spell with newly-promoted Barclays Women’s Championship club Watford.

The young forward has featured for Sheffield United during the club’s pre-season programme and she has impressed manager Jonathan Morgan enough to earn herself a permanent move to Bramall Lane.

After joining The Blades, Adebowale-Arimoro said “I’m really happy. This is a great club to be at and I think it will improve my career. It’s different, a different city for me but it’s been good. Training has been good, I’ve gained a lot of experience in the pre-season games and the girls have been really good. It feels like home, it’s been nice.”

Adebowale-Arimoro becomes Sheffield United boss Morgan’s 11th signing of an exceptionally busy summer transfer window.
