West Ham United have completed the signing of Swiss international midfielder Seraina Piubel from FC Zürich.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Hammers this morning.
The 24-year-old has spent all of her senior career to date with FC Zürich having joined the club as a 13-year-old. Piubel has made more than 65 appearances for FC Zürich at senior level while she has represented the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
On the international stage, Piubel made her senior debut for Switzerland in 2020 and she has collected 20 caps for her country.
After joining West Ham United, Piubel said “I’m delighted to be joining West Ham United, it feels great to be here. West Ham United is a Club with an impressive history and I’m very proud to be a part of this team moving forwards.
“I would say that I have a good vision of the game and I am a dynamic player. The fans can expect to see commitment, passion and a player that gives everything to the team.
“West Ham clearly has big ambitions and it’s a dream for me to be a part of this project. I believe that I have the best opportunity to reach my full potential in a West Ham shirt and I am already looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
Piubel is West Ham United’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
