WEEKLY UPDATE: Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club #23

Welcome to another weekly column on all the goings on here at Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.

There were no FA Women’s Super League games last weekend due to the international break so it is time to reflect on a great start in the league and the FA Women’s Continental Cup, coupled of course with our advancement in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

We’ve scored lots of goals scored and only conceded the one. I think we can safely say that we have had a great start, now we have to make sure that continues this coming weekend when we resume our league fixtures with a home game against Birmingham City.

We had a number of members who headed up to Middlesborough for the Lionesses game last weekend and although they lost, they all had a great day out.

Here at the OSC, we have been very busy organising two more coaches for all of our members to get to two of the big games which we have coming up. We have a subsidied coach heading to Arsenal next month for what could be a cracking game and before that, we have organised and paid for a free coach for all of our members for the FA Women’s Continental Cup tie against Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday 20 October. It is always a pleasure to be able to help our members get to games and support the girls.

Another newsworthy item to report is that we can confirm that we are continuing to sponsor Tameside United Girls Under-11s for a second successive season. The girls will take to the pitch again with our crest emblazoned on their shirts and they will have links on their website to us again.

Hope you’ve enjoyed international week and hope to see many of you this weekend.
