WEEKLY UPDATE: Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club #26

Welcome to this week’s update from the Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.

On the pitch, we did not get the result that we wanted on Sunday as Arsenal pipped us 1-0 at Meadow Park in the big top of the table clash.

Despite the result, all of our members and other Blues on our OSC coach still had a fantastic day out, we always enjoy Arsenal away. I’d like to say a special thank you to Claire and the Arsenal Women’s Supporters Club for the welcome and we look forward to welcoming you all for the return game later in the season.

Away from the action, we have been very busy organising our Annual Christmas Bash. This year will see us put on the event in conjunction with another branch of the City OSC. We will announce details of this very soon.

We have some of our members heading out to Madrid this week for the second leg of our UEFA Women’s Champions League last-16 tie against Atletico. We wish them a safe journey and hope they see the girls negotiate a very tough tie to progress to the quarter-finals.

Finally, a little piece of Manchester City Women OSC history was made this week as one member, Andrew Waldon, signed up his newborn granddaughter Skylar after only one day. She becomes our youngest ever member and we welcome her to the family. I’m not sure that her unique record will ever be beaten.

Safe travels to all and enjoy the week’s fixtures.
