Blandie drums up the Manchester City support at Chelsea in the FAWSL

WEEKLY UPDATE: Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club #32

Welcome to this week’s update from Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.

We travelled very early to London on Sunday morning for our high noon kick-off at Chelsea. Still a fantastic turnout from City fans despite many of us having a late night the night before with a late kick-off in the men’s derby match.

We turned our away end into a Christmas party with decorations, reindeer and snowmen. We even had a box of mince pies for everyone at half-time provided by our member Caz. Thanks Caz they were fantastic!

Although the result was not what we wanted, we all still had a great day out which is why being a City fan is so special, we sing and back our team until the end and beyond no matter what.

Our focus this week is away from the football. We have been busily organising our Xmas Bash which this year, we are hosting jointly with another City supporters club branch, The Bluebells. We have fun, games, prizes and special guests planned for all members and families of both branches to enjoy.

This will be our fourth Annual Christmas event. The first one was a meal out and the last two, as our member numbers grew, were nights out. This year, we are trying a different approach, starting the event from 2pm to hopefully mean that more families and children can come and enjoy the celebrations. You will hear all about it in next week’s update.

We still have one game left before Christmas, at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. We will have all of our usual merchandise on-sale before the game while fans can pick up the brand new issue 17 of FA Women’s Super League Full-Time Magazine.

Enjoy your football this week and see you all again next week.
