Crystal Palace midfielder Aoife Hurley has signed a new 18-month contract with the FA Women’s Championship club according to The Eagles’ official club website.
The 23-year-old midfielder has impressed during a short period of time as a Crystal Palace player, prompting The Eagles manager Dean Davenport to offer her a new long term contract.
It has now been revealed that Hurley has signed on with Crystal Palace until the end of next season, giving the club a boost ahead of their battle against relegation from the FA Women’s Championship during the second half of the campaign.
Hurley moved to Hayes Lane at the beginning of September last year following a three-year spell with Crystal Palace’s FA Women’s Championship rivals Aston Villa while she was also on the books of the London Bees earlier in her career.
Since joining Palace, Hurley has been a virtual ever-present for the club with the player making 14 appearances in all competitions.
Hurley is expected to be in the Crystal Palace squad when they resume their FA Women’s Championship campaign at Coventry United on Sunday. The home side go into the match just three points behind Palace in the league table while they boast a better goal difference.
