Liverpool’s teenage midfielder Missy Bo Kearns has joined FA Women’s Championship club Blackburn Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season according to reports from The Reds’ official website.
The 18-year-old Liverpool-born midfielder has successfully graduated through the Merseyside club’s academy system and she is being tipped for a big future on Merseyside.
The Reds youngster has today agreed her first professional terms with the club while it has also been announced that Kearns will spend the remainder of the season on loan at second tier side Blackburn Rovers as they bid to secure a second season of FA Women’s Championship football.
Rovers have found life tough in the second tier following their promotion from the National League Norther Division at the end of last season and are just one point above the relegation zone after winning just twice in nine matches. Loan signing Kearns could make her debut in Sunday’s home fixture against Lewes at Bamber Bridge.
The midfielder has made five appearances for parent club Liverpool this season while her first senior goal ironically came against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup in November. Kearns netted the sixth goal of the game as The Reds ran out 6-0 winners.
