An allocation of tickets will be available on the day as Charlton Athletic face Chelsea in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round at The Oakwood on Sunday.
The FA Women’s Championship’s bottom club had previously encouraged fans to buy in advance to avoid disappointment but the club have revealed that tickets remain therefore ticket sales will be in operation on the day in Crayford.
Charlton Athletic play their home fixtures at VCD Athletic’s home stadium of The Oakwood, a ground with a capacity of just 1,180, the smallest in the FA Women’s Championship. The Addicks have not revealed just how many tickets have been sold in advance for their tie against a multi-national Chelsea, however, they have indicated that less than half of the overall allocation remains.
Riteesh Mishra’s side are searching for some cup magic to inject new life into their season of struggle. The South East Londoners are rooted to the bottom of the FA Women’s Championship table following a rotten run which has seen them fail to win any of their 10 league matches this season. The Addicks are three points adrift of safety but they do have at least two games in hand on the sides directly above them.
