Manchester United midfielder Lauren James is currently sidelined with a foot injury.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been hugely impressive for The Red Devils this season and she has continued to build her status as a ‘fans’ favourite’ at the Leigh Sports Village.
James missed Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Everton last Sunday with the player’s last appearance coming in the 1-1 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on 12 February. The midfielder played the first 78 minutes at The People’s Pension Stadium before being replaced by Lizzie Arnot. United have now confirmed via their social media channels that James has a foot injury and that she is currently undergoing a period of rehabilitation.

It is not currently known just how long it will be before James makes a return to the Manchester United side. Casey Stoney’s side do not return to action after the international break until 22 March when West Ham United are the visitors to the Leigh Sports Village, allowing James some time to recover from her injury problem.
After spending four years with Arsenal, James joined Manchester United in summer 2018 ahead of their debut season in the FA Women’s Championship. The youngster helped The Red Devils to promotion to the top flight in her first campaign at the Leigh Sports Village and has continued to shine in the top flight this season.
