Reading have announced that midfielder Jade Moore has agreed to make the move to National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Orlando Pride once the Coronavirus pandemic has passed according to reports on The Royals’ official website.
The 29-year-old Worksop-born midfielder will officially move to the Exploria Stadium once world football resumes with the player linking up with former Birmingham City boss Marc Skinner.
Moore joined Reading in 2017 after former club Notts County folded before the 2017 FA Women’s Super League 1 Spring Series. The player has since enjoyed a fruitful three-year spell at Adams Park as Kelly Chambers’ Reading side have established themselves in the top flight.
The midfielder started her career with Lincoln City before spending time with Leeds United and Birmingham City. Moore’s new boss Skinner was also working at Birmingham City during the player’s five-and-a-half year stay with the Blues.
Moore’s arrival at Orlando Pride will enhance the plethora of international talent already on the books at the club. The player has 50 senior England international caps to her name which she has collected in an eight-year career with the Lionesses.
The midfielder’s final appearance as a Reading player came as the club were defeated 2-1 after extra-time by Leicester City in a Women’s FA Cup fifth round tie in February.
