The Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club are very proud to announced that we are now full associate members of The Football Supporters’ Association (FSA).
We have signed up alongside a number of other supporters’ groups from the women’s game in an effort to become a network to push for better recognition across the different aspects of our game, primarily to improve these aspects for all supporters.
The Free Lionesses is the women’s arm of The Football Supporters’ Association and covers all aspects of the women’s game in this country, both nationally and domestically. A number of our members met their representatives and used their services whilst over in France following the Lionesses last summer at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019. The feedback which we received from our members on the help and advice offered was amazing. We want our voices to be heard across the whole game and by supporters’ clubs working collaboratively, we are more likely to be able to achieve that.
Our contact Deborah Dilworth and our very own OSC treasurer Jude Morris-King joined Emma Meredith-Shone on this week’s edition of the Man City Women Fancast to discuss the whole set up and what it hopes to achieve. To tune in to the fancast and hear the aims of the process in a lot more detail please click here.
We hope that more and more supporters’ clubs join forces with The Football Supporters’ Association just like we have as it is a great opportunity to have your say. If you have any questions or queries please contact us on Twitter @MCWFC_OSC.
