Manchester United linked with move for Spanish international forward

Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Manchester United are being linked with a move for Spanish international forward Eva Navarro according to reports by El Confidencial.

The Spanish media outlet have indicated that an offer could be on the table for the talented 19-year-old who will officially be out of contract at current club Levante at the end of next month.

The newly-franchised Real Madrid club are also said to be keen on the striker ahead of their scheduled rebranding on 1 July.

Navarro started her career with Spanish Segunda Division Group 4 club Sporting Plaza de Argel before moving to Primera Division side Levante in 2018. The striker has netted nine goals in 42 Primera Division appearances in her two seasons with Levante, eight of which have come for the Granotes during the 2019/2020 campaign.

The youngster has represented Spain at various youth levels and she made her senior debut for the nation in a 2-0 international friendly defeat to France in August last year.

Potential admirers Manchester United have enjoyed a successful first campaign in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Casey Stoney’s side’s defensive record is on a par with Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal, however, goalscoring is where they could improve after netting just 24 goals in 14 league games.

United boss Stoney will be keen to bolster her side’s attack this summer and will no doubt cast her net far and wide to find players up to the challenge of taking the club to the next level.
