Scottish international defender Jen Beattie returned to Arsenal last summer after six years away from Meadow Park during which she represented Montpellier, Melbourne City and Manchester City.
The 29-year-old Glasgow-born centre-back was a hugely popular figure with the Arsenal fans from her initial spell with the club, a period in which The Gunners dominated the women’s game in England.
