Manchester City are thought to be one of a handful of clubs to have tabled an offer for German international midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsan according to reports by French media outlet RMC Sport.
The 28-year-old Budapest-born midfielder currently plays her football with European champions Lyon but is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to agree an extension with the French club.
Marozsan is believed to have been poised to join American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Utah Royals this summer but the current uncertainty surrounding that competition has resulted in that move being delayed.
With her future still very much in the air, the German international midfielder could yet opt to move to another club or remain with current side Lyon. It has been suggested that the player has several offers on the table including one from Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Manchester City.
Marozsan has enjoyed something of a much-decorated career to date with the player having won UEFA Women’s Champions League and Division 1 Feminine doubles on no less than three occasions with Lyon. The midfielder also won European football’s biggest club competition during her time at former club FFC Frankfurt.
With potential admirers Manchester City still hoping to conquer Europe themselves in the coming years, players with UEFA Women’s Champions League-winning experience will only help their cause. In Marozsan, the club would certainly be acquiring a player who has been there and done it.
