Bristol City players and fans could be in for a treat next season with the club’s ever-popular purple and lime change colours possibly making a return.
The Robins played in a purple and lime third kit in 2018/2019 and there are some indications that those colours could return in next season’s away or third kit with technical kit partner Hummel having today released a range of training and casual wear in those colours.
Bristol City agreed a kit deal with the Danish sportswear brand in February which will begin this summer and the release of the club’s new kits for the 2020/2021 season is edging ever closer.
The home kit will be Bristol City’s traditional red and white colours but it remains to be seen what colours will appear in either the away or third kits. In pictures released by the club today, purple and lime will feature in next season’s clothing range, a subtle hint that Tanya Oxtoby’s side could have a kit of a similar colour scheme.
Bristol City men’s side have an affiliation with purple and lime which dates back to the early 1990s. The club brought the colours back in 2017/2018 and the theme continued in the following season. This season saw the club inherit a largely black away kit and while that colour may again feature in some form in 2020/2021, purple and lime may also be on the agenda.
