Coventry United defender Hayley Crackle has signed a new contract with the club for the coming season, while midfielder Sian Johnson has left the Butts Park Arena.
Crackle played an important role for the Warwickshire club last season, appearing in all-but-one of Coventry United’s fixtures in the FA Women’s Championship.
Coventry United have today announced via their official Twitter account that the defender has agreed a contract with the club for the coming season. Crackle joins teammates Katy Morris, Helen Dermody, Amber Hughes, Shannon O’Brien and Sue Wood in extending her contract.

In other news, midfielder Johnson has left Coventry United. The player moved to the Butts Park Arena last summer from Leicester United and she went on to make nine appearances for the club in the FA Women’s Championship. Johnson was very much in and out of the Coventry United side with the midfielder having started eight matches as a substitute.
Coventry United finished the 2019/2020 campaign in tenth position in the FA Women’s Championship. It was the club’s first season as a second tier outfit. Manager Jay Bradford has put down some solid foundations this summer by keeping several members of the squad at the club and fans will now be hoping for some new faces to arrive in the coming weeks.
