Aston Villa’s promotion-winning goalkeeper Daniela Kosinska has joined FA Women’s National League club Stoke City on a free transfer according to reports on The Potterettes’ official website.
The 19-year-old was a member of Gemma Davies’ side which lifted the FA Women’s Championship title last season on a points-per-game basis following the early curtailment of the season as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Following Villa’s promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, goalkeeper Kosinska was one of eight players released by the club. The youngster made four appearances for Villa in all competitions last season. Her one clean sheet came in her only FA Women’s Championship outing as Davies’ side won 4-0 at struggling Charlton Athletic in October.
It has been revealed that Kosinska has joined Stoke City ahead of the new FA Women’s National League North season. The Potterettes confirmed the deal last night with the player set to go straight into the squad for Stoke City’s opening fixture of the new campaign against Sheffield FC at Community Drive on Sunday afternoon.
Kosinska joins a Stoke City side who were occupying fourth position in the FA Women’s National League North table last season prior to the campaign being declared void.
