West Ham United will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when they face Brighton & Hove Albion at The Chigwell Construction Stadium this afternoon.
The Hammers won 2-1 at Birmingham City last weekend to collect their first league victory of the season while this afternoon’s opponents Brighton & Hove Albion were defeated 2-0 by the other half of Birmingham, Aston Villa, at The People’s Pension Stadium.
West Ham United boss Matt Beard is likely to keep faith with the majority of the side which won at the SportNation.bet Stadium last weekend. After collecting just one point from their opening five Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches, the victory in the Midlands last weekend will have left Beard feeling somewhat relieved.
Brighton & Hove Albion boss Hope Powell will again be absent from the touchline in Dagenham this afternoon due to self-isolation. She will have forward Kayleigh Green available once again following suspension but fellow attacker Ellie Brazil is not yet back to full fitness and therefore remains sidelined.
West Ham United’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at The Chigwell Construction Stadium kicks-off at 12.30pm and will be available to watch live on the FA Player.
