Durham manager Lee Sanders has added former Sunderland and Middlesbrough winger Danielle Brown to his squad.
The 22-year-old midfielder spent a significant period of her career with the Wearsiders before joining Boro for a short spell in February prior to the FA Women’s National League competitions being declared void.
Durham announced Brown’s signature via their official club Twitter account earlier today with the player eligible to go straight into The Wildcats squad which will take on Aston Villa in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup at Maiden Castle this evening.

Brown brings top flight experience with her to Durham. The youngster previously represented former club Sunderland on a number of occasions in the old FA Women’s Super League 1. The winger made six top division appearances in red and white in Sunderland’s final season at that level in 2017/2018 prior to their demotion.
On the international stage, Brown has represented England at various youth levels and the player will provide new club Durham with another quality attacking option as The Wildcats look to continue their push for promotion in the FA Women’s Championship.
