Former Birmingham City full-back confirms Tenerife departure

Former Birmingham City full-back Adrienne Jordan has this evening confirmed that her time with UDG Tenerife has come to an end.

The 26-year-old American defender joined the Spanish Primera Division club in July following a short spell with National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side OL Reign but her time at the Estadio Francisco Suarez is now over with Jordan set to continue her career elsewhere in 2021.

During her time in Spain, Jordan made eight top flight appearances for UDG Tenerife, helping the club record two clean sheets in victories over Espanyol and Logrono. The defender leaves UDG Tenerife with the club currently occupying fourth place in the Primera Division after 13 games. David Amaral’s side have a record which can only be bettered by league heavyweights Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Jordan announced her UDG Tenerife departure via her personal Twitter account earlier this evening.

Prior to spells with OL Reign and UDG Tenerife, Jordan spent a season with Birmingham City. The player featured in all 13 Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches for the Blues in the curtailed 2019/2020 season, playing every single minute. Jordan netted her only Birmingham City goal in a 5-1 victory over Leicester City in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup.

After leaving the SportNation.bet Stadium, Jordan made just one appearance for OL Reign in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup prior to her move to Spain.
