West Ham United’s teenage forward Angie Dunbar-Bonnie has joined second tier club Charlton Athletic for the remainder of the season according to reports on The Addicks’ official website.
The 18-year-old is rated highly by The Hammers with the player having come through the club’s dual career pathway programme.
Dunbar-Bonnie was invited to train with the West Ham United senior squad for the first time last summer by former Hammers boss Matt Beard and the player has maintained her position as a first team squad member.
It has today been confirmed that Dunbar-Bonnie will spend the remainder of the season with Charlton Athletic. The player will be looking to hit the goal trail for The Addicks starting with tomorrow night’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against London City Lionesses should she be selected.
The youngster made her senior footballing debut against The Addicks as a substitute in West Ham United’s 4-0 victory at The Oakwood in November in the group stage of the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. Dunbar-Bonnie has also been an unused substitute for West Ham United in four of their fixtures in this season’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
Dunbar-Bonnie joins Tottenham Hotspur prospect Elisha Sulola in joining Charlton Athletic this week.
