Chelsea will be hoping to retain their place at the top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table with victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Kingsmeadow on Sunday.
The Blues lead second-placed side Manchester United on goal difference, although Emma Hayes’ side do have a game in hand on The Red Devils.
Chelsea boss Hayes is not thought to have any new injury concerns to contend with ahead of her side’s latest London derby but she could opt to rotate her squad. Ann-Katrin Berger, Jonna Andersson, Ji So-yun and Fran Kirby are amongst the players most-likely to be recalled.
Tottenham Hotspur have played just the one game in 2021 so far with two matches having been postponed as a result of opposition player shortages and bad weather. Head coach Rehanne Skinner could hand debuts to recent signings Abbie McManus and Cho So-hyun against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow.
The two sides met in the group stage of this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup. On that occasion, Chelsea were 2-0 winners at Kingsmeadow.
Chelsea’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available for fans to watch live on the BBC Red Button and on the FA Player.
