London Bees have completed the signing of Welsh international forward Helen Ward on a dual registration basis from FA Women’s National League South club Watford.
The 34-year-old Brent-born attacker, who has previously represented Arsenal, Chelsea and Reading at the top level, will immediately link-up with The Bees, however, it is understood that she will train with Watford once the UK lockdown restrictions are lifted.
Ward could go straight into Lee Burch’s Bees squad as they prepare to face Sheffield United in their latest FA Women’s Championship fixture at The Hive tomorrow.
London Bees announced the signing of Ward via a post on their official club Twitter account earlier today.

Ward started her senior career with Watford after initially joining the club at the age of nine. She later went on to represent both Arsenal and Chelsea before spending four years with Reading. The forward returned to Watford in 2017 and she has remained with the club ever since.
On the international stage, Ward has represented Wales on 89 occasions at senior level while she has scored 43 goals for her country. She is one of two London Bees players in the current Welsh national team environment with midfielder Charlie Estcourt being the other.
Ward returns to FA Women’s Championship football for the first time since the 2017/2018 season when she represented Watford in the old FA Women’s Super League 2 prior to the club’s demotion following the restructure of the women’s game.
