Leicester City will be looking to continue their fine form when they take on Crystal Palace in the FA Women’s Championship on Sunday.
The high-flying Foxes are seeking an eighth straight victory in the division. Their recent run has seen them overtake Durham at the summit. As for Sunday’s visitors Crystal Palace, Dean Davenport’s side will be eager to see if they can keep their momentum going after an impressive 5-0 victory against London Bees last time out.
Jonathan Morgan’s Leicester City side were defeated for the first time since November as Bristol City triumphed 1-0 in the semi-finals of the FA Women’s Continental League Cup at the beginning of February, that having been the only game which The Foxes have played so far this month. However, their league form has continued to go from strength-to-strength and they could go three points clear on Sunday with a game in hand if things go their way.
The Eagles, who currently sit in eighth place, have endured a mixed season so far but with only one defeat in their last five games in the league, their form seems to be heading in the right direction. Palace will also be looking for revenge from October’s meeting with The Foxes which saw them succumb to a 4-1 home defeat.
Crystal Palace will be hoping that forward Bianca Baptiste can keep scoring after reaching 14 goals for the season by bagging a brace in that 5-0 rout of London Bees a fortnight ago.
The FA Women’s Championship fixture between Leicester City and Crystal Palace kick-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon with highlights available to stream on the FA Player.
