Two of the FA Women’s Championship’s mid-table sides meet at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium on Sunday afternoon as Blackburn Rovers take on Lewes.
Rovers will be looking improve their current form, Gemma Donnelly’s side are without a win since late November and the Lancashire club have recorded two draws and three defeats in their last five matches.
Lewes on the other hand have recorded one win, two draws and two defeats in their last five games. The Rookettes’ striker Ini Umotong will be hoping to continue her impressive goalscoring record of three goals in her last two matches. The Nigeria-born forward has impressed for Simon Parker’s side since joining the club in the January transfer window.
Umotong is one goal behind Rovers’ top scorer Elise Hughes. The Welsh attacker has been in and amongst the goals for Donnelly’s side this season with four to her name so far.
The two sides last met in early October when Lewes recorded a narrow 1-0 victory at The Dripping Pan thanks to a late goal from Simran Jhamat.
Blackburn Rovers’ FA Women’s Championship fixture against Lewes kicks-off at 12pm on Sunday afternoon and will be streamed live on Rovers’ official YouTube channel.
