Crystal Palace will be hoping to end their season on a high as they host Lewes on Sunday.
The Eagles have picked up just one point from their last five games in the FA Women’s Championship but have come away with a victory in both of their meetings with Lewes this season in both the league and in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup.
Fifth-placed Lewes come into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over already-crowned champions Leicester City last weekend and they have lost just one league game since mid-February. Regardless of this weekend’s result, The Rookettes know that their league position is guaranteed while opponents Palace could move from ninth place up to seventh if results elsewhere go their way.
In form striker Bianca Baptiste will be hoping to add to her goal tally, scoring doubles for The Eagles in each of the last two meetings with Lewes. She has put the ball in the net on 14 occasions across the season so far.
Lewes will be hopeful of scoring goals of their own with opponents Palace having failed to keep a league clean sheet since their 5-0 thrashing of London Bees on 14 February. The Eagles conceded five goals as they went down 5-2 at Coventry United last weekend.
Crystal Palace’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against Lewes is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon and will be available for fans to stream live on the CPFC YouTube channel.
