London City Lionesses forward Atlanta Primus has signed a new deal with the club according to reports on The Pride’s official website.
The 24-year-old Londoner joined London City Lionesses ahead of the 2020/2021 season, returning to the English game following a spell in the United States at California State University.
Primus impressed in her first season at Princes Park. The player ended the campaign as London City Lionesses’ top scorer in the FA Women’s Championship with four goals in 19 appearances. Primus offered head coach Melissa Phillips plenty of versatility with the player being able to operate either out wide or in a central position.
With Primus being a key player for London City Lionesses, it has today been confirmed that the forward has agreed a new deal with the club. Primus is the second player to sign fresh terms with The Pride this summer after goalkeeper Shae Yanez also recently committed her future to the club.
Speaking after signing her new deal, Primus said “I am very excited to have re-signed with London City Lionesses. I’m looking forward to building on the foundations we set last season and pushing onto bigger things this year.
“I can’t wait to get back to it and be back competing day in and day out.”
London City Lionesses ended the 2020/2021 campaign in sixth position in the FA Women’s Championship. The club are now keen to kick on once the new season gets underway.
