Birmingham City have today confirmed that forward Claudia Walker has left the club at the end of her contract.
The 25-year-old was offered a new deal by the Blues but she has opted for a fresh challenge. The player has been strongly linked with Birmingham City’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League rivals West Ham United in recent weeks.
Birmingham City announced the player’s departure in a post on their official club Twitter account.

Walker was Birmingham City’s top scorer in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League last season. The forward netted five goals in 21 appearances. The Blues picked up nine of their 14 points from games in which Walker scored.
The player started her senior career with Liverpool before crossing the city to join Everton. Walker spent four years on the blue side of Merseyside, helping the club to the 2017 FA Women’s Super League 2 Spring Series title and promotion to the top flight.
Walker joined latest club Birmingham City on loan in early 2019 and the forward’s performances for the Blues saw her earn herself a permanent two-year deal that summer. The player has gone on to accrue more than 50 appearances for Birmingham City in her time with the club.
